Studs | Stud Fasteners
Threaded studs provide double-end or continuous thread fastening for flange connections, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and industrial equipment assemblies where bolts cannot be used or where equal thread engagement on both ends is required by design. Blue Ribbon Fastener stocks threaded studs in ASTM A193 B7 alloy steel, carbon steel, and stainless steel in standard and custom lengths for process piping, pressure system, and structural applications.
Usages for Studs
Threaded studs are used in ASME flanged pipe connections, pressure vessel and heat exchanger head bolting, pump and valve bonnet connections, cylinder head and manifold bolting in engines and compressors, structural tension rod systems, and embedded foundation anchor bolting. Fully threaded stud bolts have thread along the full length; double-end studs have a specified length of thread on each end with an unthreaded body between. Studs are paired with heavy hex nuts on both ends to develop full load capacity.
Studs for all Industries
Threaded studs serve the oil and gas, petrochemical processing, power generation, chemical manufacturing, heavy equipment, and construction industries. Process engineers, piping designers, maintenance planners, and plant turnaround crews source stud bolts as a standard procurement item for flanged assemblies and pressure systems. Blue Ribbon Fastener provides studs in the alloy grades and configurations most commonly specified, with certified material test reports available for pressure system documentation requirements.
