What is VMI?
VMI is a supply chain partnership where we take responsibility for monitoring, replenishing, and managing your inventory levels on-site, at designated stocking points, or virtually. Using advanced tracking systems and scheduled reviews, we ensure your production floor is always stocked with the fasteners and components you need — no stockouts, no overstock, and no lost time.

Traditional VMI
We take full responsibility for managing your inventory at your location, freeing you to focus on higher-impact work. Whether you require high-volume, frequent replenishment or occasional bin stocking, your BRF rep will make on-site inventory decisions using technology to ensure product availability.
How it Works:We’ll start with a site survey and analysis of current replenishment processes. Once signed, we’ll digitally track inventory with barcode scanners at your location and set up automatic replenishment—continuously monitoring performance and optimizing as we go.
Virtual VMI
Virtual VMI is an evolution of traditional VMI. It’s an asset-light, machine-driven solution in which we manage and optimize inventory for you while you use your own employees to scan and handle physical bins. With Virtual VMI, OEMs get the data insights and efficiencies of traditional VMI without giving up control, and over time (and scale) achieve significant cost savings.
How it Works:We provide you with a pocket-sized scanner that collects data and feeds order info to our VMI platform via API. You benefit from automatic replenishment and continuous performance monitoring and optimization without giving up any control.
