Washers
Usages for Washers
Washers are used in combination with bolts, screws, and nuts to increase the bearing area under the fastener head or nut, protect the mating surface from damage during tightening, provide a hardened bearing surface against the fastener, or create spring tension to resist loosening. F436 hardened flat washers are required under the turned element in structural bolt assemblies; SAE and USS washers are standard in general mechanical and construction applications; lock washers add vibration resistance in dynamic applications.
Washers for all Industries
Washers are used across construction, manufacturing, MRO maintenance, OEM production, HVAC and mechanical contracting, electrical contracting, and essentially every other industry that uses bolted connections. They are one of the highest-volume fastener components in most production and maintenance programs. Blue Ribbon Fastener maintains deep washer inventory in the sizes, types, and materials that support both high-volume production purchasing and project-specific sourcing with consistent availability and competitive pricing.
