What to Include in Your Fastener RFQ
The more detail you can give us up front, the faster we can turn your quote around — often same-day. Here's what helps our team the most:
Part Print or Drawing
A blueprint, CAD file, or dimensional drawing helps us match specs exactly. Don't have one? A part number or sample works too.
Material & Finish
Let us know the material grade and any plating or coating requirements, especially for corrosion resistance or conductivity.
Quantity & Frequency
Annual volume, order size, and whether this is a one-time buy or a recurring release help us price it accurately.
Timeline
Tell us your target delivery date so we can flag lead time issues early, before they become a production problem.
Frequently Asked RFQ Questions
How fast will I actually get a quote back?
Most RFQs are quoted the same day, especially for stocked items. Custom or print-to-spec parts may take a bit longer depending on supplier sourcing, but we'll let you know right away if that's the case.
Do I need a print or drawing to request a quote?
It helps, but it's not required. If you have a part number, a sample, or even just a general description, send that instead and a rep will work with you to nail down the specs.
Can I get free samples before I commit to an order?
Yes. Stocked hardware ships quickly as free samples, and custom-to-blueprint samples can be arranged too, so you can verify fit, finish, and function before placing a full order.
Do you work with small orders, or only large volume?
Both. We support one-time buys and small-batch needs as well as high-volume, recurring production releases, including VMI programs for customers who want us managing inventory on an ongoing basis.
What if I only know the industry standard, not a specific part number?
That's fine — just describe the application (for example, what it's fastening and any material or environmental requirements) and our team will help identify the right part.
